There you can meet up to 150 smiling spinners like yourself. Rollout with Nevada County's largest pelaton for a 15 mile loop out the Old Downieville Highway

The Winner's List of the Nevada City Bicycle Classic reads like a who's who of modern American cycling. Many riders who have competed in this tough race have gone on to scale cycling's highest peaks. Greg LeMond, won the Nevada City Bicycle Classic three times before his ascent to three Tour de France victories and two World Championship titles. Lance Armstrong is another rider who competed here on his way to victories in the world championships and three time winner of the Tour de France.

The action begins Sunday afternoon after the Children's Bike Parade and Cornerstone Reality Citizen's Ride. First to test their mettle on the steep circuit are the Juniors, in the Ron Miller Junior Grand Prix / Lance Armstrong series. Next Masters 35 + / 45 + 1,2,3 then, Women Pro,1, 2, 3, 4. Followed by Senior Men Cat 3, then the slammer of the day the Mens Pro Cat 1 and 2!

Spectator Information

Get close-up views of the racing action along the entire course. Help the tired riders up the punishing climb with your cheers and bell ringing. Look on in awe as the pelaton flashes by on the Broad Street descent at speeds seen on the nearby Highway 49 freeway. This early-summer festival will provide some of the most riveting sports action you will see all year!
